It is never easy to find a coach, whom you can entrust your business. Let’s face it for us to get that success we need to find a coach, who can help us win the game. I love the way Gary stresses that point.

If you don’t want to be a New Age idiot, listen carefuly 9:45-10:10, and of course the time of this is very symbolic, that’s how the truth often is. the point being you might get to see a slight clue of WhatOnEarthIsHappening com

John Wooden is the only coach I would ever put above Dean Smith. His wisdom is truly special. Coaches today dont seem to have this same methodical approach to success. All these guys Wooden, Smith, Knight, Valvano even, they all had their methods of being successful and their philosophies seem to be so intricate that you can apply it to everyday life. I cant seem to get that out of Tom Crean, Mike Kzyzewski, John Calipari and these other guys today.

Stop attacking the people who disliked this. They probably did it because they’re upset he can no longer give these speeches.

I don’t think Paul Harvey was copying anyone when he made the recordings that Dodge has licensed.

Although, I always hoped UCLA — Alcindor, Wicks, Rowe,Wilkes, Allen, Shackelford, Johnson, Hazzard, Goodrich, Walton, Warren (think “Hill Street Blues”), Vandeweghe, Miller, and oh so many more — would lose to the likes of Marquette University, and North Carolina, John Wooden’s sheer recruiting genius would have never allowed that to happen.

Yes, Coach Wooden truly was the “Wizard of Westwood,” but then again, he also would have been “The Wizard” anywhere else he chose to coach.

How the heck is he reciting poetry like that? In his late 90’s, you’d expect him to constantly forget stuff like that yet he reels it off like nothing. I hope I’m that sharp when I’m half his age.

“Then Lord in his infinite wisdom didnt create us all equal as far as intelligence is concerned as far as size, appearance.”
I am a smart guy and I used to wield it against others, lord it over people. Untill I met a stupid, even retarded guy. He didnt know any of the sciences and he had the childish fancy but he was simply a better person then I was. He was nicer then I had every been and more successful then I am.
I dont follow sport and have never heard the name “john wooden” but he is smart

I am a University of Oregon graduate…and Mr. Wooden was the only visiting ciach to always get a round of applause before the game. And, if you know my Ducks and their fans, you know how much that meant. This was a man of class and honor…we could use more like him…but, there will never be another John Wooden.
